The Fen table is thought of as a simple symbol for a stream in the forest landscape, where meadows and forests met, there was also mildew and a small pond with insects. “I am often drawn to water, to see what is going under the surface. These streams filled with magic insects also have a great impact on the diversity of nature. The shape came about from the desire to make a coffee table that was ethereal and light, but still with a little unexpected leg positioning.” “Over the years I have worked a lot with wood and this time I wanted to test a more asymmetrical and organic form. A little bit like roots that kindly bear the mirror’s surface, which in turn gives a hint of the stream’s shiny surface.”
